Anno 1700 in Tabarz

Good food, but little choice. The ingredients are regional and always depending on the season. The prices are justified and fair. The service was really competent, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible.

Have stayed here twice now during our short stay. Very good regional fresh cuisine, with very nice service. The dumplings and the gravy were immediately stolen from everyone involved.

The facade was under construction, but its delicious cuisine, a bit experimental and its romantic atmosphere is surprising. A delicate lady and her chef son run it.

After a hike around Bad Tabarz we stopped here and wanted to end the beautiful day with a good meal. We were warmly welcomed and brought to our table. The ambience is very rustic, but very cozy, tidy and clean. The choice of drinks is large and diverse. That's pretty much all positive. Because a look at the food leaves a lot to be desired. There are starters and six main courses. There are no children's dishes on the menu, but a plate with dumplings, sauce and vegetables is served for 5 euros. For us it was pea and carrot vegetables. The carrots were only steamed briefly - not for small children. In addition, there is only one children's spoon, we wanted another spoon for our second, so we were told that she only had one and brought a coffee spoon. When asked whether they also have schnitzel or french fries, we were informed about the upscale Thuringian cuisine offered here, which we probably wouldn't know. On the recommendation of the waitress / boss, we opted for a salad bowl with rump steak (25 euros). We wouldn't regret it, she said. What came next was a rump steak well cooked to the point - so good so far. Then came the salad bowl - at this point I would like to mention the 4 mini potatoes in the salad - an absolute disaster for me. This salad was a mix of different types of salad and vegetables. Unfortunately, I had the feeling I was eating a compost heap - not in terms of appearance, but in terms of taste. Peas that taste like fennel, while the beetroot tastes like forest floor, etc. and a dressing around everything that doesn't taste good. CONCLUSION: If you would like to go out to eat Schicki-Micki and place more emphasis on the appearance of your food than on the taste, this is the place for you. The rest of them look for a restaurant with middle-class Thuringian cuisine, save their wallet and end up being full. I will not visit this location a second time! Too bad.

Food was bad compared to a snack kitchen. The boss first responded to complaints with a consolation champagne, which we refused, then she became puffy. For the proud prices, we expected more. There were 8 of us and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed ....... the distances between the tables were not according to the corona requirements. The live music played exactly 4 songs Never again !!

A very friendly family restaurant with a selected menu. This also changes regularly. The food was excellent and healthy. The loving facility completes the experience. We would love to come back.

The food was delicious, but the portions can be bigger. After a hike, you are still hungry after eating, since the portions are more like children's portions. With these portions, the price-performance ratio is not okay. The prices are in the upper range. I would not recommend the Anno 1700.

Actually worth 10 stars. We were in this place for the first time for a wedding. The food was terrific - regional, seasonal, fresh and simply indescribably delicious. You will be greeted by a warm service, which unfortunately only happens rarely these days. The cook himself is young, motivated and knows how to conjure up good food. Plus a fabulous ambience - just great! If you remove stars here, you probably cannot cook yourself, but you have to prove yourself to be infallible in Google reviews.

Very nice and cozy café. The cake is homemade and tastes just great. The landlady is really warm and nice. All in all really recommendable.

Apparently the concept of lunch is not yet known in this restaurant, as well as in the whole city. I would briefly describe it. Lunch describes a meal that is usually consumed between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the latest. In this overgrown village there is apparently only something called "café". I cannot understand this, because if I am really hungry I also want a real meal instead of a plum cake.

Wonderful restaurant with warm staff, excellent and unusual dishes, I can highly recommend! Since it was not possible to pay by card, I was able to pay the bill directly by bank transfer in online banking.

Very tasty and very nice service. We will definitely come again. Homemade cakes and fresh milk coffee. Went here for dinner today. We ate very tasty and good. The dishes are very lovingly, freshly and deliciously prepared. The house, the guest rooms and the ambience correspond exactly to our ideas. Everything is coordinated with each other down to the last detail. We liked it very much.
